Blue II Speaker Cable

Tellurium Blue is the entry level speaker cable that was designed to be the companion to Tellurium Q Black and has been described by one well known manufacturer of speakers as having “good mid, but softer sounding” than the Tellurium Black. While having great detail and phase control is less revealing of a system than the Black.

HiFi World has described the most noticeable qualities of this cable as being, “a welcome absence of muddle..” and, “a more neutral, focused, precise aura settled on the music. In fact the Blue cables exhibited a tremendous sense of control; something that I’ve never heard from any cable at this price point.”

Performance Profile
Blue Family
Warm and forgiving for systems with a slight edge or for those who like a more smooth laid back presentation. Blue and Ultra Blue are especially good for AV and home cinema
Black Family
Smooth, fine detailed and great resolution while actually reducing apparent harshness. Music is presented as a coherent, organic whole, with a jaw-dropping sense of realism and naturalness.
Silver Family
Totally uncoloured, acting as a wide open channel sounding unforced, vivid and dynamic with phenomenal resolution, transparency and natural tonal colours. All this while sounding extremely analog and coherent, from the exceptional top end extension to bottom with finely detailed, separated bass notes.
Reviews and User Comments
Stereolife 10 year anniversary

“…and to celebrate this special anniversary by awarding special jubilee awards to the special devices that made the most impression on us.”

– StereoLife
Pursuit Perfect System

“The difference was night and day to me with the Blue II sounding more open, more transparent, clearer and cleaner and to my big surprise more substantial on overall scale, that was not what I was expecting [compared to the old Blue]…Blue II were stand out for me in 2021.”

– Terry Ellis
HiFi Pig

“Tellurium Q Blue II offers a fantastic and great value upgrade for those looking for good sounding and well put together loudspeaker and interconnect cables. They have a balanced and pleasing sound to them that allows you to enjoy the music without wanting to dissect it or feel that you are missing anything. They are still in the system if that is any indication”

– Stuart Smith, HiFi Pig
AudioVideo

“I can’t believe how much a set of Tellurium Q wiring can get closer to high-end cables for repeatedly higher sums. One big WOW!”

– Audio-Video, PL
Tone Audio

“We’ve been using Tellurium Q’s original Blue as our go to cable in modest and vintage systems to excellent result for some time now, and the new, improved Blue II is better in every way. Fantastic.”

– Jeff Dorgay, Tone Audio
Stereonet

“It has a very well balanced sound, with no undue nasties up top or down below – plus a wonderfully satisfying midband that delivers lots of detail and a lovely rhythmic swing to the music you choose to play. In our view, you have to pay lots more to do just a little bit better.”

– Stereonet

“The sound is consistent, natural and focused”

Stereonet

“Congratulations on achieving such an improvement and offering it for the same price!

Brought both atmosphere and more authentic tonality. Harmonics had seriously impressive attack and decay. It was as if Messrs Anderson, Bruford, Howe, Wakeman, and Squire had suddenly moved from a rehearsal room to an airier environment, letting the listener follow individual instruments more easily. Again, timing improved with the new cable, making for an enjoyable and cohesive listening experience.”

– Jay Garrett, Stereonet
Stereolife

“But the thing is we are not talking about five or ten positive reviews written on a dying forum by some audiophile newbies. The reviews and awards tab is endless, which does not surprise me at all. What we get for little money is very elegant and well-made cables, which do exactly what they are supposed to – offer the sound that will work in 90 percent of budget systems.”

– Tomasz Karasiński, Stereolife
HiFi Choice

“With the Blue II the top end becomes cleaner and the bass response in particular tighter and more punchy. If you’ve tried the original Blues and liked them, you are definitely going to be impressed with these new updates”

– Neville Roberts, HiFi Choice
HiFi Pig

“Indeed, the cables were like chalk and cheese. The new cable was astounding in comparison [to the old design] …..Blue II added more depth and space than I expected for such a cheap cable. These really are the bargain of the year.”

– Janine Elliot, HiFi Pig
Wijit Boonchoo

“…Tellurium Q Blue II is smooth, clear, soft, detailed, clean, natural, beautiful! I can say that the music is more beautiful than the first version. And it makes me unable to imagine Speaker cable at this price level who else could do it like Tellurium Q Blue II ?”

– Wijit Boonchoo, The Wave Online
Paul Rigby

“I was and remain bowled over by both the improvements in performance of the Tellurium Q Blue II cables when compared to the original models and how the Blue IIs battle it out with their immediate competition… To do all of this at such a low price point is startling”

– Paul Rigby, The Audiophile Man
Premium Sound.pl

“If you compare it to other cables, even my previous ones, by a well-known American company, you can get the impression that other producers are combining how to stand out from the crowd, and Tellurium combines how to best give music back.”

– Olek Gramophonist, Premium Sound.pl

– HiFi Pig, 2014
HiFi Choice

“Excellent in a distinctive way…The Emeli Sandé track shows these cables to be more fluid and mellifluous”

– HiFI Choice, July 2013
HiFi Plus

“…a degree of coherence, timing and focus distinctly uncommon, in my experience, for this sort of money.”

– Steve Dickenson, HiFi Plus 2010
HiFi Journal

“Its performance is rather remarkable, especially its openness and freedom from smear that bedevils most “starter” level cables. Its sound has has an outstanding clarity and focus, along with a fine transparency and, hence a very natural character on vocals .. Its inclusion in my office system has certainly brightened my working days. Allowing me to hear even more of the music that was previously struggling to reach the speakers”.

– Malcolm Steward, The HiFi journal
HiFi Plus

“So it is refreshing to happen upon a set of cables that can deliver the sonic goods, yet don’t cost as much as a small island.”

– HiFi Plus Issue 75, Awards Edition
HiFi World

“Blue cables exhibited a tremendous sense of control; something that I’ve never heard from any cable at this price point.”

– Paul Rigby, HiFi World August 2010
Francisco Moya

“When you are used to Silver Diamond and Statement it’s difficult to go back to Blue, but I did it last weekend. Installed the Blue and reproduced the cut number 3 from Tellurium Q CD. Then played Take Five, You Look Good to me (Oscar Peterson Trio) and “Ah! mes amis, quel jour de fête!” from Juan Diego Flores Ultimate Collection. This was repeated with Blue II and EVERYTHING was clearly better. I wasn’t surprised as already experienced this with Silver to Silver II, but this doesn’t mean that the improvement wasn’t surprising… It’s just that Tellurium Q users are getting accustomed to this kind of performance. An incredible QCR!”

– Francisco Moya, Spain
